ChickfilA Biscuit Sales– Thank you to math teacher: Sandy Lorick, Langston parents: Leslie Fite and Dan Green, and Langston students: Hallie Fite, Dan Green, Jordan Green, Matthew Green and Isaac Lipe for organizing and running the Friday morning ChickFilA biscuit sales at the school. Their dedication has resulted in over $3000 profit for the school. Biscuits will continue to be sold each Friday morning in car line until the end of the year.
Advanced Writing Class for High School Students– An advanced writing class will be offered this summer for rising and current high school students at Langston Charter Middle School. The class will cover SAT writing prep, advanced grammar/sentence structure, advanced paragraph/essay structure, among many other concepts, with the goal being to prepare high school students for SAT/college-prep writing in addition to writing for the real world.
Cost is $125, plus a $25 registration fee; dates and times to be determined. The class is taught by Langston English teacher, Rachel Hamilton, and she may be contacted with any questions and more info at rhamilton@langstoncharter.org.
Girls Movie Night– Langston will host a movie night in the school’s gymnasium on Friday, March 15 from 6:30pm – 8:30pm for all Langston girls. Admission will be $2 and will include a bottle of water.
