Now that you've purchased all of those Christmas presents, it's time to start wrapping!
Yes, at times it's just easier to throw things into a gift bag. But if you have a gift that's easy to wrap or perhaps one that deserves a little more "pizzazz" in presentation, here's a how-to on wrapping your gift.
If you're a visual person, take a look at the video by Real Simple attached to this story.
Here's how to wrap:
Step 1: Gather all of your supplies: gift wrap, boxes, tissue paper, tape, scissors, bows or ribbon, and Christmas tags.
Step 2: Pick a box that will snugly fit your gift. If needed add tissue paper to secure the item in place.
Step 3: Measure out the amount of paper needed. An easy way to determine the amount, flip the box over on the paper at least two and half times and then cut.
Step 4: Center your box onto the paper and secure one side to the middle of the box with tape.
Step 5: Before bringing the second side of paper up and over, create a clean seam by folding the paper down. Secure it in place with tape.
Step 6: Starting on one end of the box, create triangles of paper at the top and bottom of the box by flattening the sides of the paper against the box. Then fold one triangle up against the box and secure with tape. Flatten the second triangle against the box and secure with tape. Repeat these steps to finish the other side.
Step 7: Now that it's wrapped and ready, add a pre-made bow or make your own ribbon bow to the top of your gift and don't forget the gift tag!
