On Monday, the site reported that college student memberships have increased by 58 percent, especially in the south.
More than 1,264 young women in South Carolina have registered with the site.
While none of South Carolina's colleges and universities made the company's Top 20 list, the number of registered users from the University of South Carolina has nearly tripled since 2011, the website reports.
The release blamed the rising cost of tutition for the increase. However, USC saw the smallest hike in tuition — 3.15 percent — in 10 years this summer, The State reported. In-state students pay $10,488.
