Original story: Southern Greenville County has become a deadly place in the past two weeks.
An unidentified man was found shot to death late Saturday night by Greenville County Sheriff's deputies at an apartment complex on White Horse Road less than five miles from Mauldin, Master Deputy Laura Campbell said Sunday.
Though none are related, this latest murder is the third in just the past two weeks, all of them in the same general vicinity in southern Greenville on the outskirts of the Mauldin city limits.
A man was shot and killed outside Bobby T's nightclub at 330 White Horse Road on Jan. 13, less than a mile away from this latest homicide. A half-mile from the night club shooting, another man was found shot to death on Jan. 8 inside a residence at 303 Springbrook Drive.
On Saturday around 10:06 p.m. Campbell said the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call stating that gun shots could be heard within the Crescent Landing Apartment complex located at 1008 White Horse Road.
A second 911 call was received where the complainant stated that gun shots had been fired near the N building and that a black male victim could be seen lying in the parking lot between the N and O buildings.
Uniform patrol deputies arrived at the complex at 10:11 pm and found a victim deceased in the parking lot, Campbell said.
The Greenville County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Unit was called to the scene to investigate the death. The investigation is currently ongoing.
Investigators ask if anyone has any information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
