10th Grade Students to Tour the Golden Strip Career Center
All 10th grade students will tour the Golden Strip Career Center on either Tuesday, February 12th or Wednesday, February 13th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Students will be notified of their assigned day. This tour will allow students to experience the various classes and career options available to them their junior and senior years at the career center. Any 10th grade student who does not want to attend the Golden Strip Career Center tour will need to sign the Opt-out Form in the guidance office by Friday, February 1st. Any 10th grader not signing the Opt-out Form by that date will be required to attend this field trip.
Service Learning Applications Now Available
Interested in making a difference – touching lives, mentoring, and getting involved in your community during the school day? Then, Service Learning may be the class for you! Service Learning is a unique opportunity open to rising juniors and seniors, outside of the traditional classroom setting, that uses academic instruction and meaningful service in real world settings and experiences to meet actual community needs. If interested, stop by and pick up an application from Mrs. Kelly Keeler in room D115.

For: Rising 7th through 12th grades
A MANDATORY meeting will be held
When: Monday, Febrary 25th at 5:30 p.m.
Where: Mauldin HS Media center

If you do not attend the meeting and have not made prior contact with the school, you will be unable to try out.
MHS Band Fundraiser – Thursday, 2/21
The Mauldin High Band will have a fundraiser at Pizza Inn! Please enjoy a pizza dinner and support the Band on Thursday, February 21 between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Band members will work as wait staff and will bus tables. The Booster Club will receive all tips donated that evening. You may tip for to-go orders, too. Please help the band meet its financial needs for this year.
Greenville Technical College Placement Test at MHS – Tuesday, 3/12
The Greenville Technical College Placement Test will be given on Tuesday, March 12th in the Mauldin High School Auditorium from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.Sign up in guidance beginning Friday, February 1. There are only 60 spots available.
BMW Scholars Program
All seniors interested in the BMW Scholars Program have an opportunity to meet a representative from BMW to learn about the application process on Thursday, February 14th in guidance. If you are interested and plan on attending Greenville Tech or Tri-County in the fall of 2013, please come to guidance to sign up by Friday, February 8th.
Help Needed for Senior Picnic
Attention parents of Seniors: We need someone willing to lead the planning for the Senior Picnic that will be held in May.
