Clemson great C.J. Spiller is the running for a pretty cool honor – gracing the cover of the next Madden NFL video game.
ESPN is holding a contest to determine which player will be on the cover of the latest entry in the long-running video game franchise, and Spiller, who now plays for the Buffalo Bills, is among the candidates.
Round 1 of the selection process will be over on March 20.
In addition to Spiller, the round one bracket has two other players with South Carolina connections. The Cincinnati Bengals' A.J. Green is from Summerville. Sterling Sharpe played for USC before playing for the Green Bay Packers.
The round one bracket is a mix of footballs legends like Joe Montana and up-and-comers like Spiller.
For the younger players, the contest is a chance to be on the cover of the latest in a series that many of them grew up playing.
The game is set to be released on August 27.
