BI-LO recently elevated industry veteran Anthea Jones to president of the chain, which was acquired last year by Winn-Dixie, according to The Shelby Report.
Though the bulk of corporate operations has moved to Winn-Dixie headquarters in Jacksonville, Fla., Jones will continue to work out of the chain's Mauldin operations center. In addition to the new post, Jones will continue as BI-LO's senior vice president of operations.
Jones joined BI-LO in 1999 after a 17-year stint at Food Lion. Before being promoted to SVP of operations and president earlier this year, he was BI-LO’s SVP of store operations. He had held a number of other positions with BI-LO prior to that. He also is the immediate past board chairman (2011-12) of the Global Market Development Center, the report said.
Randall Onstead continues as president and CEO of the combined company, BI-LO Holdings LLC.
