Thanksgiving — it's not just for turkey anymore.

This year, it's all about shopping in the Upstate!

Big box retailers are opening even earlier and Black Friday sales are beginning on Thursday at many stores. Wonder if they'll change the name to Black Turkey Thursday?

So once you back away from the table, get set for a shop-a-thon.

Walmart, Toys R' Us, Target and Best Buy are planning all-out holiday shopping assaults.

Beginning at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, Walmart will offer holiday doorbusters, while supplies last. See the ad.

Sears will have two waves of doorbusters, according to BlackFriday.com. The first will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday and the second at 4 a.m. Friday.

Target's Black Friday sales prices at 9 p.m. Thursday. (Warning: this ad may change as BlackFriday.com said this may be a photocopy of the ad.)

Toys R Us will open at 8 p.m. Thursday. Lots of doorbusters with 50 to 60 percent off many items.

Kmart will open at 6 a.m. Thanksgiving with doorbusters until 4 p.m. Black Friday sales will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday.

We've been checking out some of the deals at stores in the Upstate.
