A Mauldin woman alleges she was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of her apartment complex last Friday night, according to a Mauldin Police Department report.

The 19-year-old woman said she had exited her car in the Valley Green section of the Arbors at Brookfield when an unidentified man approached her, put a gun to her head and demanded money, the report said.

When the woman said she didn't have any cash on her, the assailant reportedly took her iPhone from her hand and fled the scene. The woman, who said she fell to the ground crying and didn't know what to do, subsequently went to a friend's house in Simpsonville, then called police, the report said.

The victim was unable to give a good description of the robber, only that he was a black male with a short afro, about 20-30 years old, and standing about 5 feet 8 inches. The victim said the robber may have been driving a pickup, but could not be certain.

Police said that the victim used an Internet app and tracked the victim's cellphone to an address in Greenville, but police so far have not been able to locate the suspect and the case remains active, the report said.
